Dinner at Greek's

Part of socializing Zephyr requires us to go out to dinner from time to time. It's a great sacrifice on our part, but we manage some how. Last night was one of those times and we went to Greeks Pizzeria. It's a great place to sit down and have some pizza (and don't forget the sticks, try the cinnimon sticks they're the best!). They are also very friendly toward us socializing the dogs, so we go their pretty often. As you can see from the picture below, Zephyr is enjoing a good nap while we eat.

Puppy Raising 101

The first rule of puppy raising is that you take the picture first, then take the contraband out of the puppies mouth. You won't get any good pictures if you try doing it the other way around. In the first shot here, I let him briefly chew the handle of the leash just for the chance to capture those forehead wrinkles. Then I handed him his bone to chew. The next picture has the two dogs running in the yard, and the third picture is to show off Pico's new haircut.

Just look at how cute Zephyr is

A coworker took the picture of Zephyr on the sidewalk to send to his wife. The other picture shows Pico and Zephyr starting to get along. I lost another picture that showed them laying side by side in the afternoon sun. Pico is getting trimmed today, so he'll have his short coat in future pictures.
Zephyr's kennel was dry yesterday when I got home from work, but wet this morning.

Day 2 at work

Today was Zephyr's second day at work. Like yesterday, he spent most of the time sleeping and being fussed over.

When we brought him home the first night, I was walking him in circles around the yard, trying to get him to relieve himself (or "park"). After about 3 circles, he fell behind and lost sight of me. He thought he heard me and started running in that direction, but realized it wasn't me. He sat down and thought for a bit. Then he decided to start running the circle of the yard again. He had to go halfway around, but he found me and got lots of praise for thinking through the problem.

Morning Pictures

Proof of foot sleeping.

first post

Trying this out.

Zephyr is determined to sleep on feet. This makes it hard to cook unless you have a kitchen small enough that you don't actually move your feet.
